I hope you are doing well amidst the winter weather. Some roads in the WSFC area are still very icy, please stay safe! The CMC Office will be closed tomorrow. We will keep everyone updated on the status of this week’s meetings and activities.

Winter Weather Policy
With the threat of inclement weather this weekend, we encourage church members to check WXII, WFMY & WGHP television stations along with our Church website and Facebook page to discover information about any schedule changes for church events, meetings, and services due to weather conditions. We will have information publicized as early as we can concerning possible changes to our schedule on Sunday, January 13th.
Church Workday Wednesday Morning
Help is needed! A work day has been called for Wednesday morning at 9 AM at church. Our recent storm has left a lot of debris on our church campus. Please bring rakes, leaf blowers and yourselves on Wednesday. With enough people we should be able to accomplish all we need to do very quickly. Thank you in advance for your participation!
Building Dedication and Church Picnic Sunday
Join us Sunday for worship at Christ Moravian Church. We will be dedicating our new church office building. Members will be able to tour the new office building too. Our Christian Education Committee is hosting a picnic in the Fellowship Building. Fried chicken and ice cream treats are provided. Members are asked to bring side items. We hope you will make plans to attend!
New Office Building Construction Completed at Christ Moravian
Construction on our new office building is now officially completed! We have obtained our certificate of occupancy and we will begin the process of moving our temporary offices from Cedarhyrst back to our new address: 514 Hunter Avenue in the next few weeks. We are also awaiting the arrival of a new conference table and chairs. We will officially dedicate our new building on Sunday, August 26th and host an “Open House” that day as well. Church Work Day To Be Rescheduled
Due to the colder temperatures along with a forecast of rain, the church work day scheduled for Saturday, March 24th will be rescheduled for a later date. We will keep members of the congregation updated when that date is set.
Morning Worship Only On Sunday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 AM to 10 AM Sunday morning, February 4th. Freezing rain is expected, with a possible accumulation of ice resulting in slippery conditions tomorrow morning. For this reason, Christ Moravian Church will not hold Opening Exercise or Sunday School. We are making plans to hold worship at 11 AM. Should conditions worsen we will inform the congregation through the various media outlets as communicated in an earlier post about our Winter Weather Policy about any further changes.

Painting Project Completed
The painting of the outside of our Sanctuary Building on the campus of Christ Moravian Church is now complete. We appreciate the patience of our congregation and the wonderful work of our painting crew during these past few weeks.

New Meeting Space in the Church Office
New meeting space has been created in the Church Offices of Christ Church! We have brought a conference table out of storage and have created a great meeting space in the room where our church copying machine is located. If any of our church groups would prefer to meet in a smaller space (for 12 people or less) rather than reserving the Fellowship Building, please feel free to contact the church office for details about how to reserve this space. Many thanks to Wayne Walker, John Chitty, NT Russell and Jeff Glance for assisting with this project.
