Special Announcement re: Sunday Sept. 17, 2023

Friends,

I am sorry to say that there has been a number of COVID-19 cases to arise among our friends and family here at Christ Moravian this week.

As a result, the Executive Committee, out of caution and concern for the health of the congregation, has decided to call off  church for this week.  There will be NO church activities this Sunday.  Opening exercise, Sunday School, morning worship, and youth lunch are all cancelled.  However, Darla and I will collaborate to record and post a sermon on Facebook and on the church website for those that are interested.  A number of other Moravian churches in the area are still livestreaming their worship, so tune in to those services as you are led.

Per the Executive Committee and the choir director, there will also be no choir practice on Monday, September 18th.

The CE chair, with the support of the Executive Committee, has also decided to cancel the upcoming Game Night on Friday, September 22nd.

Please keep all those currently battling COVID in your prayers, and we hope to resume normal activities as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the office is still open, and will remain so until further notice.

Peace,

Pastor Reed

Christ as Chief Elder Communion – November 13, 2022

Join us for Holy Communion this Sunday
The Chalice has long been a symbol of the Moravian Church

Join us on Sunday, November 13th as we celebrate Christ as Chief Elder Communion. On November 13, 1741 announcement was made in all Moravian congregations that Jesus Christ had been chosen Chief Elder of the Moravian Church. The Moravian Church has had no single human chief executive since then, and now observes this as a festival day on the Sunday closest to November 13th by celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion.  Worship begins at 11 AM on Sunday morning. We hope to see you here! In addition, we will be holding our annual Church Council during worship this Sunday as well.

Spaghetti Supper – November 19, 2022

There will be a Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Fellowship Building.  Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 and under.  All proceeds will go to the Outreach Fund which is used to help those in need in the church and the neighborhood.

Join us as we explore some of the challenges and prospects of biblical, faithful decision-making, then and now.
