Join us in worship on Sunday, July 3rd as we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. On this particular Sunday we remember the ministry of John Hus.
Hus was among the foremost of Czech reformers. Hus was a professor of philosophy and rector of the University in Prague. The Bethlehem Chapel in Prague, where Hus preached, became a rallying place for the Czech reformation. Make plans to join us following worship on Sunday, June 19th for a Youth Lunch in the Fellowship Building in honor of Father’s Day. The menu will be Roast Beef, pork roast broccoli, mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, glazed carrots, mac and cheese, salad, yeast rolls and homemade dessert, tea and coffee. THE LOVE OFFERING WILL GO TO THE YOUTH FOR THEIR MISSIONS. WE HOPE EVERYONE WILL JOIN US AND INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
We will be celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion on Sunday, June 5th in celebration of Pentecost. Pentecost is a Christian holy day that celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit 40 days after Easter. Some Christian denominations consider it the “birthday” of the Christian church. We hope you will make plans to join us in worship on this Sunday!
We will have a church work day on Saturday, May 21, 2022 beginning at 8 AM. We will meet up at the church to get our assignments. We hope you will make plans to attend!
The Church Office will be Closed on Monday, May 30th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday and will re-open on Tuesday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m.
Every 5th Sunday has been designated by the Leadership Board of Christ Moravian Church as a “loose change” offering for a special cause in our community and world. In 2022 the recipient for our loose change offering will be the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund.
The 250th Anniversary Easter Sunrise Service of the Salem Congregations will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at 6:00 AM at the Square. This year’s service will be officiated by the Rev. Ginny Tobiassen, Pastor at Home Moravian Church.
Holy Week services begin with our readings on Palm Sunday in worship and continue each evening at 7 PM through Good Friday. (April 10 – 15, 2022).
We hope you will make plans to attend. The Moravian Church has a tradition of nightly reading services during this most sacred week. The readings are a compilation of the four Gospel accounts of the last week of Christ’s life.
