Pastor Reed Lawson split his childhood between Winston-Salem and Kill Devil Hills, NC. After graduating from First Flight High School, he attended Campbell University, where he majored in Biochemistry and minored in English. After marrying his wife, Elizabeth, whom he also met at Campbell, Reed moved to Winston-Salem to begin a career as a research scientist, working at Wake Forest Biotech Place in a Biomedical Research PhD program. Soon after, he began following a call to ministry in the Moravian Church, and eventually graduated from Wake Forest School of Divinity with a Master’s of Divinity and Moravian Theological Seminary with a Certificate in Moravian Studies. Reed has been serving Christ Moravian since October of 2021. He lives in Winston-Salem with Elizabeth and their three children – Emmett, Virginia, and Lilah. In his spare time, Reed enjoys playing video games, reading, playing and watching sports, listening to music and podcasts, and spending time with his family.
