RESCHEDULED!!!!! On July 13, 2019, the Christian Education Committee has rescheduled the “Pop-Up Yard Sale” in the church parking lot. (RAIN DATE IS JULY 20TH.) The sale will run from 8 AM to 1 PM, with set up beginning at 7 AM. Spaces will be $10 each (the size is 10’ x 18’) or the size of 1 parking space. Sausage biscuits will be available for breakfast and hot dogs for lunch as well as baked goods for sale. Reservations are not required; however, if you are interested in reserving a space, please see any CE member. We cannot provide tables, but tents are welcomed. All funds will go to future Christian Education events. Even if you do have a booth, please stop by and shop with other vendors.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Richard Spaugh; born in Winston-Salem; graduated from Gray High School and Moravian College and Seminary. Married to Jean with two children and five grandchildren. Served First Moravian Church in Greensboro, Salem Academy & College, Laurel Ridge and First Moravian Church in Georgia. Since moving back to Winston-Salem, I have served as an Interim at Mayodan, Trinity and Bethesda. I look forward to my time with you.
Every 5th Sunday has been designated by the Leadership Board of Christ Moravian Church as a “loose change” offering for a special cause in our community and world. In 2019 the recipient for our loose change offering will be The Bethabara Food Pantry.
We will be celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion on Sunday, June 9th in celebration of Pentecost. Pentecost is a Christian holy day that celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit 40 days after Easter. Some Christian denominations consider it the “birthday” of the Christian church. We hope you will make plans to join us in worship this Sunday!
The youth of Christ Moravian Church are sponsoring a car wash to raise money to help pay their expenses for camp this summer at Laurel Ridge Camp. On June 1 from 9 AM – 1 PM, please stop by our church parking lot located at 919 West Academy Street in Winston-Salem and have your car washed. We will also have sausage biscuits available rom 9 – 11 AM and hot dogs available from from 11 AM – 1 PM in our Fellowship Building. There is no set cost for the car wash; instead, donations accepted.

Make plans to join us following worship on Sunday, April 28th for a Youth Lunch in the Fellowship Building. The menu will be Roast Beef and Artichoke chicken, roasted asparagus with parmesan cheese, roasted red bliss potatoes, mac and cheese, salad, yeast rolls and homemade cakes. A love offering will be collected. After the lunch, Rev. David Guthrie will discuss the new call process with us.
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Party will be Saturday, April 20th. All the fun begins at 10:30 AM at the Fellowship Building of Christ Moravian Church. Along with the egg hunt, there will be activities, story time and lunch. WE HOPE YOUR CHILDREN WILL JOIN US!

Holy Week services begin with our readings on Palm Sunday in worship and continue each evening at 7 PM through Good Friday. (April 14 – April 19)
We hope you will make plans to attend. The Moravian Church has a tradition of nightly reading services during this most sacred week. The readings are a compilation of the four Gospel accounts of the last week of Christ’s life.
