
Many thanks to those members who ventured out Tuesday evening to trim candles for our upcoming Lovefeast services at Christ Moravian Church. As you can see from the picture to the left, mission accomplished! Thank you again!

Our Youth will be preparing a wonderful lunch for us to enjoy this Sunday following morning worship. Baked Spaghetti (including Vegetarian option) along with Salad will be served. In addition we will recognize the birthdays of our church members for the months of October and November by having a special dessert in their honor. We hope you will make plans to attend!

Church Interiors has completed their work in our Fellowship Building. Our Stainless Steel countertop has been installed and we are ready for our Anniversary Weekend Celebration that begins with our Fall Festival and Yard Sale Saturday followed by our special lunch on Sunday following worship. The Marvelous Moravians are back in action! All are invited to attend our Fall Kick-off in the Fellowship Building on Tuesday, October 8, at 11 AM with a special presentation from Bishop Sam Gray with lunch to follow. A sign up sheet has been posted on the CHURCH FAMILY LIFE bulletin board or you may call the church office at 722-2007 to RSVP.

A great crowd ventured out on Wednesday at 8 am to the Stratford Station Grill. Following breakfast a group came to transport items from the garage in the church office to the Fellowship Building basement in preparation for the Women’s Fellowship upcoming Yard Sale. Thank you for your contribution of time today!

A wonderful crowd ventured out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to attend the dedication of our Church Labyrinth. Most people stayed to enjoy a wonderful picnic and ice cream social followed by a talent show from church members. We hope you enjoy the photo slideshow below.

The FUN began on Sunday! Our VBS experience hosted by Christ Moravian Church got underway last night. We continue through Wednesday and hope you will make plans to attend! There are opportunities for learning and mission for all ages. We hope you enjoy some of the photos of our church members that will be featured throughout the week below.

Despite the weather conditions, a great crowd from Christ Church came out to see the Winston Salem Dash take on the Potomac Nationals. Enjoy some photos below from today’s game which featured our very own Grateful Choir singing the national anthem.

Many thanks to our youth who led worship on Sunday, April 28th. We were all truly blessed by your music, sermon presentation and leadership in worship. In addition many thanks to our adult volunteers (Cyndy & Kiley Smith, Matt Pace and Sabrina Maksi) who helped to plan worship on Sunday as well and for our guest pianist, Martha Walker.

A great day was had by all who attended our Spring Fling on April 21st. Many thanks to all the youth and adult volunteers and those who came out to offer their support. Over $1,000 was raised for our youth. Congratulations!

Our Marvelous Moravians had a great time on Tuesday! We enjoyed a wonderful presentation from The Rev. Rodney Stillwell, Senior Chaplain of the Forsyth County Jail and Prison Ministry. This time also included some “hands on” experience with clay along with a great BBQ lunch. We hope you enjoy some of these photos from our event!
The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County CROP Walk produced the fifth largest amount among the 1400 CROP Walks in the nation in 2012. Congratulations to the followin Moravian congregations who received certificates of award at the 2012 CROP Hunger Walk Recognition Awards Reception on Tuesday evening:Christ Moravian 552% (#1!)

New meeting space has been created in the Church Offices of Christ Church! We have brought a conference table out of storage and have created a great meeting space in the room where our church copying machine is located. If any of our church groups would prefer to meet in a smaller space (for 12 people or less) rather than reserving the Fellowship Building, please feel free to contact the church office for details about how to reserve this space. Many thanks to Wayne Walker, John Chitty, NT Russell and Jeff Glance for assisting with this project.

The Marvelous Moravians gathered together on Tuesday, January 8th in our Fellowship Building. We had a wonderful program led by The Rev. Judy Knopf, pastor of Good Shepherd Moravian Church in Kernersville. Many thanks to our members who helped prepare the food for our wonderful lunch that followed our presentation. Our next event will be attending the Day of Prayer Service at Home Church on Wednesday, February 13th.

We have some wonderful activities taking place during the season of Advent at Christ Church! Below are listed some of the activities that are taking place in the coming weeks. Click on “Advent Activities” below to download in PDF format this flier listing these activities .

Thanks to the generous contribution of a church member who wishes to remain anonymous, we have upgraded our sound system! We are no longer recording worship services on cassettes but on a digital media recorder. Following an editing process, these worship services are now available to church members on a compact disc (CD). We plan to deliver these CD’s to our members who are no longer able to attend worship and make available copies to any members by request. Simply contact the Church Office and a copy will be provided to you. Our first recording that will be available will be on Sunday, December 9th.

Many thanks to all who ventured out on Tuesday evening to help trim candles for our upcoming Christmas Lovefeast and Candle services later this month. Church Council took place during worship on November 18, 2012. Our Council officially approved the move to a single board of church leadership.
In addition our 2013 Church Budget (click here to view our 2013 Mission and Ministry Budget ) was approved. We would also like to congratulate these following members for being elected to the following: Linda Hastings, Church Council Secretary, Chris Vogler, Central Trustee and Sabrina Maksi, Petersbrook RCC representative.

A great turnout for the Dash game from Christ Church on Sunday, June 3rd. Unfortunately the Dash lost the game but a fun time was had by all who attended!
