Epiphany is celebrated on January 6th as the revelation of the Baby Jesus to the Magi and as the first manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles. The Moravian Church practices an “open communion” meaning we welcome all Christians to join us in celebrating the Sacrament.
Moravian congregations will be holding Lovefeast Services throughout December and on Christmas Eve. Christ Moravian Church offers one service at 11 AM on December 17th and two services Christmas Eve (4 PM & 7:30 PM). Join us on Wednesday, November 22 at 7 PM for our Thanksgiving Eve Lovefeast service at Christ Moravian Church. Our Youth will be leading the service. Join us this Sunday in worship on November 12th as we celebrate Christ as Chief Elder Communion. On November 13, 1741 announcement was made in all Moravian congregations that Jesus Christ had been chosen Chief Elder of the Moravian Church. The Moravian Church has had no single human chief executive since then, and now observes this as a festival day on the Sunday closest to November 13th by celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Worship begins at 11 AM on Sunday morning. We hope to see you here!
